I actually love taxes.
I’m the Founder and President of AZ Edge Accounting LLC, a CPA firm based in Mesa, Arizona, specializing in tax planning, tax preparation, and bookkeeping for individuals, small business owners, freelancers, and self-employed professionals.
I’ve been working in tax and accounting since 2008, and in 2019 I founded my own firm with a very specific mission.
Time and again, I met hardworking business owners who were overwhelmed by IRS tax debt—not because they were trying to avoid paying taxes, but because they had never received proactive tax guidance. They met with a tax preparer once a year to file their return, but no one had taken the time to explain how their day-to-day business decisions affected their taxes. Many had disorganized books, missed legitimate deductions, underestimated their quarterly taxes, or simply didn’t know what records they should be keeping. By the time tax season arrived, they were often facing unexpected tax bills, penalties, and interest.
I wanted to change that.
I originally started my practice focusing on tax resolution because I wanted to help business owners overcome IRS tax problems and build a better path forward. My goal wasn’t simply to help clients deal with yesterday’s tax issues—it was to help them avoid repeating the same mistakes year after year.
That means taking the time to explain the “why” behind the numbers, helping clients organize their bookkeeping, identify legitimate deductions they may have been missing, and develop practical tax strategies throughout the year—not just when it’s time to file a return.
Over the years, I’ve helped business owners reduce penalties and interest, identify significant tax savings, and create bookkeeping and tax systems that give them greater confidence and peace of mind going forward.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting. I’m licensed as a CPA in both Arizona and California, and my work has been published in the Journal of Accountancy and CPA Magazine. I was also honored to receive the AICPA’s 2016 Women to Watch Award – Emerging Leader.
While I’m proud of those accomplishments, what matters most to me is making accounting and taxes easier to understand. I believe people deserve clear answers, practical advice, and a trusted advisor who helps them make informed financial decisions with confidence.

Although AZ Edge Accounting LLC is based in Mesa, Arizona, I work with clients throughout Arizona and across the United States through a secure, fully digital practice. By using modern cloud-based technology and virtual collaboration tools, I’m able to provide the same personalized service and responsive communication whether you’re located across town or across the country.
When I’m not helping clients, you’ll usually find me volunteering in the community, spending time with my family, or—believe it or not—talking about taxes and bookkeeping with anyone who’s interested.
